Train 1:
Seen from the front vestibule of inbound Metra Union Pacific West Line train #64, outbound #65 is a bit late as it passes 64 on the west side of Elmhurst.
Train 2:
Train #64 departs Elmhurst toward the Ogilvie Transportation Center (Northwestern Station) in Chicago, with F40PH-2 #120 pushing.
Train 3:
Just east of downtown Elmhurst, an empty UP coal train from Wisconsin heads west, with AC4400CWs #6638 and 6876 on the point, and 6439 pushing in DPU mode.
Train 4:
A UP AC unit leads some interesting Norfolk Southern run-through power on another empty coal train. NS SD40-2 #6097 and C40-9W #8545 are behind the Union Pacific unit.
Train 5:
The second train of this three-way meet heads west on the centre main track, with a surprise on the point! Union Pacific's Missouri Pacific heritage unit, SD70ACe #1982, leads an SD70M on a
Train 6:
The third train in this "meet" is an eastbound loaded coal drag, headed for the "New Line" at CP Park, that will take it to Wisconsin. Two AC units up front, and one on the rear as a DPU for this train.
Train 7:
Outbound Metra UP-W Line train #67 is about 15 minutes late for some reason as it arrives at the Elmhurst station.
Train 8:
After a look at the 1980s-era Metra map and info board still announcing the "Chicago & Northwestern West Line", inbound UP-W Line train #66 arrives, also about 15 minutes late- my ride back to the city.
