Part 2 of our journey from Ankara, Turkey to Yerevan in Armenia. In this video, after staying a couple of days in Batumi, Georgia, we travelled on to Tbilisi. The train departed at 08:10, it was scheduled to arrive at 13:11. It arrived with a 1 hour delay. The joureny cost £60.71 ($77.32, GEL 214.15, €73.09) for 3 people in first class. It was worth the small extra cost for first class tickets, because the train was very busy and there was more room in first class. There was a business class compartment, but we did not see thosse tickets when we booked. There is very little storage space on the train. We booked our tickets about 4 weeks in advance using the Georgian Trains website, after reading informaation on the manatseat61 website. I sat next to a Rusian man on the train, he explained how he fled Russia when the war with Ukraine begun. We stayed two nights in Tbilisi before the next adventure - the overnight train from Tbilisi to Yerevan. Video coming soon...
