Lou Diamond Phillips is one of Hollywood's most distinctive actors and is known for his intense performances. He burst onto the scene when he starred as Ritchie Valens in La Bamba (1987). He earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Stand and Deliver (1988), and a Tony Award nomination for his role in The King and I (1996). Other notable films in which Phillips has starred include Young Guns (1988) and Young Guns II (1990), Courage Under Fire (1996), Che (2008), and The 33 (2015). On television he has starred in 24, Numb3rs, Law & Order, and Longmire.
