DYA717 Wally & Sean @ Keehi Lagoon Park -- Keehi Lagoon Park near the Honolulu International Airport is a large recreational area with wide open spaces, tennis courts, baseball/softball fields, etc. Wally & Sean Kohashikawa visited Keehi Lagoon Park one day and saw that the park could use some volunteer assistance to clearup the area. They “adopted” the southwest corner of the park & started tidying it up a few days per week. A lot of that trash were stuff that floated ashore from the lagoon. They also waded into the shoreline and dragged out old tires, water-logged carpets, an abandoned boat, surfboard, various types of balls, logs, etc. They built up a fairly large pile of the trash which was removed by the county. The trash pile you see in the video is their 2nd huge trash pile. Wally said that part of the park was once used by motorcyclists to run their dirt bikes in a make-shift motorcross track. Mahalos to Wally and Sean for tidying their little corner of Keehi Lagoon Park.
