Your 6 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Dec. 5, 2024: Lake-effect snow is lingering and causing issues for the evening commute. We still have areas of low visibility, blowing, and drifting as the snow falls. Areas that have been slushy or wet through much of the daylight hours could freeze up. All of this will add up to more issues on the road ways.
Lak- effect snow will become less abundant tonight and focus more to the primary snow belt. Chilly tonight with temps in the low 20s. Friday will still be cold with temperatures struggling towards 30. Any lingering lake effect should not be as impactful and will focus mainly on the primary snow belt with only minor (if any) additional accumulations.
Drier into the weekend and mainly dry. There's even a chance some locations see some peeks of sun! Temperatures will be improving each day with highs back in the 40s on Sunday!

Warmer with rain falling Monday and into Tuesday. The warmup will be brief with colder air and snow potential working back in for the second half of the week.
