Let's go over some of the details to help you Out. Today I'm going to discuss the price of admissions and food for the budget. Then we can talk about how to get there by car or by bus. Then we will show some of the animal variety.
So how do we get there? There is the 751 or 777 bus by Eshot that should take about 1 hour from Alsancak. So let's take a look at the map of Izmir and how to get there. So let's say your hotel is in Alsancak or Bornova or downtown. Or you are in Karsiyaka and it is about half the trip! So you go all the way around Izmir.
My video cut off a little bit but you're simply typing in Izmir Dogal Yasam Parki in Izmir Turkey to your maps or Google Maps location. And type your current location.
Oops! I typed in the walking directions that show walking plus the ferry for 3 hours.
There is the metro from Alsancak to Cigli, then Cigli to the zoo by bus. Maybe you can find a way to get to Cigli by your preferred method. Then you will get on the 751 or 777 Eshot but to get to Cakabey or the Actual Sasli Dogal Yasam Park bus stop that is actually inside.
Let's look at the campus for a second. You will enter from a large parking lot and then you will go inside to the beautiful walking path and park areas. There are animals from around the globe available. From the African Savanah, to a children's area with hamsters and mini horses... Then there is the tropical area and more. I'll show you some of the park with my videos in a few minutes.
Zooming out of the map a little bit, you see the neighboring property is a beautiful park to eat a sandwich with tomato and cheese and hide under the incredible trees. There is a small children's section. Enjoy walking and a total escape from the city of Izmir.
An alternative to the bus is taking the rental car for about 30 minutes from Alsancak which is straight forward. It is a $6 US dollar budget of 110 lira. It will be about 10 lira less for students. This includes food and drink for a nice 3 hours of walking for the day.
Entering you have some lovely buildings and the cafe is outdoor with traditional Kofte or Turkish foods. It will cost about 70 lira for a meal and 20 lira for a drink. I needed this because I ended up walking around for 3 hours enjoying the beautiful day.
You're also greeted by the animal pictures which is easy to find what you want to see. There are building and shades to hide from the sun. There are a few peacocks saying hello. Don't be afraid, they run away from you. There is a walk-in area to spend time with some birds, which the peacocks escaped from. Don't worry, the animals are safely enclosed in areas for enrichment for them. Check out the lions and the meditation lemurs. Enjoy some footage at the park and have a great time!
