Mattanchery palace or "Dutch Palace" as it is popularly known is a 16th century palace built by Portuguese and gifted to the then king in Kochi to atone the destruction of a Temple. Local people believe the "Bhagavathi Temple" in ground floor is made for this.
It is made in typical Nalukettu style (traditional Kerala house) and blends architecture of both cultures. I will do a detailed video on this.
