My name is Krzysiek Siuty "Sęk". I was born in Zakopane in 1974. I come from a highland family and life in Podhale is naturally intertwined with highland music and nature. Every major event such as christenings, weddings and funerals must be accompanied by highland music. It is the music that sets the right mood. Besides, in most highland families highland music is sung or played without a special occasion, out of the need of the moment, to express sometimes grief, sadness, and at other times happiness, euphoria. It was and is the same in my home. Ever since I was a child, I have associated music with the transmission of emotions.
