Central Government has filed its reply on the Kohinoor diamonds issue regarding the return of diamond to India in the Supreme Court. The centre has said to the Supreme Court that the British didn't steal the diamond , but was gifted to them in 1849 and hence the government cannot seeks it return.The centre also added that seeking its would open a Pandor's box of sorts of other nations whose articles are with India would also seek the return. The SC countered saying that India has stolen any items from any country and also directed the centre for a detailed report on the Issue.
