The city is located in the west of the Netherlands in the province of South Holland. Delft is a small typical Dutch city with a picturesque historic center, 17th century architecture, canals and bicycles. This is the first capital of the Netherlands, which gained fame thanks to the production of porcelain. Delft is home to a major technical university, thanks to which the city became the center of Dutch high technology and innovation, and the New Church has been the burial place of representatives of the royal family since the late 16th century.
