Getting rid of your older workers so you can replace them with younger workers is a BAD IDEA.
There's nothing wrong with younger workers but the older workers have the experience, they have the knowledge and they have their relationships inside the organization.
Instead of trying to figure out how to get rid of the older workers, why don't we figure out how to get them to stay in the company, and turn them into coaches and mentors?
Help them teach these new younger workers how things get done, how to run a meeting, how to build a successful team, how to build relationships effectively, all these different types of things that they know how to do from years of doing it.
My best piece of advice is to do everything to keep your older workers. These are some of your most valuable assets, and you don't want them just walking out of your door.
