For Black History Month, The Princess decided to list her favorite Black Superheroes from both the Marvel and DC universes. All of these heroes are super awesome and should be celebrated more than they already are, so if you're interested, go and find them (if you can)!

Honorable mentions:
Ororo Munroe, a.k.a. Storm, who’s only an honorable mention because everyone loves her and I wanted to talk about some lesser-known heroes. She’s a badass, as we all know, and vastly misused and overlooked in the X-Men movies - especially since she’s the only character who’s not ever referred to by her actual human name. She’s exclusively portrayed by Halle Berry in the live-action X-Men movies.
Virgil Hawkins, a.k.a. Static Shock, a.k.a. Static outside of the the WB show called Static Shock. He was originally supposed to be a Marvel character, but ultimately was published by Milestone comics which is an independently-owned imprint of DC. Marvel missed out, if you ask me.
Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Falcon, who I love to the ends of the earth. Anthony Mackie is the perfect actor for this role, and in Avengers: Assemble, he’s 17. His momma brings cookies to the Avengers tower. Hulk loves them.
Angel Salvadore, a.k.a. Tempest, who’s finally been recognized by the film world - although her representation isn’t like...awesome. I mean, Zoe Kravitz is wonderful and I’m all for Zoe playing Tempest, but, like, she’s the only woman of color in First Class and she’s also one of the only ones to betray the X-Men for Kevin Bacon’s team. So yay for comics!
