Todd Hanson, Vice President, Center for Engaged Philanthropy at the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF). A graduate in Orange County’s backyard from California State University, Fullerton, Todd remains a selfless “Titan” (CSUF’s mascot) beyond his alma mater. He provides support to some of Orange County’s most generous families, helping them achieve their philanthropic goals and inspiring effective and impactful giving. As vice president of the Center of Engaged Philanthropy at the Orange County Community Foundation, he visits more than 100 nonprofit organizations each year to stay informed on the latest programs, services, and results.
In line with his years of work, Todd actively supports OCCF’s Social Innovation Fund. The Social Innovation Fund was established in 2019 in partnership with Orange County philanthropists and entrepreneurs willing to support the best new ideas and cutting-edge solutions. The fund led to the monetary support by donors of incredible programs like HIS House, which is the first home-sharing program of its kind in Orange County that brings senior homeowners and college students into shared living arrangements. It’s an opportunity to promote companionship and relieve feelings of isolation, exasperated by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Todd works with OCCF donors to develop personalized giving plans, arrange agency site visits, organize presentations on community issues and provide research reports on nonprofits. For more than 20 years, he has helped supercharge the next generation of innovators willing to utilize disruptive thinking to develop and deploy effective solutions to challenging, and often systemic, issues in support of social progress.
