Why No Drummer?

Well, we've found that a mixture of electronic beats and real drums works better for us without a live drummer—for now. We love the flexibility this gives us. Traditional drums are loud, and their natural tones don't fit our sonic aesthetics. We're meticulous about our choice of sounds; each song demands different snares, kicks, toms, and cymbals. That said, we're open to incorporating electronic drums in the future, as we did during our 2013 tour with Periphery.

Behind the Scenes:

This performance was captured live with 4 cameras. Though it may look like a crew was involved, we did everything ourselves. The Insta 360 X2 can be seen in some shots but is invisible in others—this isn't cheating; it's just the nature of a 360-degree camera.

Some Honest Words:

The footage might have minor inconsistencies due to latency issues and varying time compression across cameras. We're not here to claim perfection; we're here to share an emotional experience through our music.

Backing Tracks:

My production, developed over 20 years and specifically over the last 3 for these songs, is integral to our sound. Using pre-recorded synth and percussion tracks doesn't make this any less of a "live" version; it's just not feasible to perform them in real-time.

Final Thoughts:

We prioritized VIBE in this performance. We are not perfect. We are human.
