This is one of my favourite camp sites in Northern Queensland. It's beside a lovely babbling creek and is a welcome sight in an arid savannah landscape. Being the only fresh water permanent creek for miles it attracts many birds and wildlife. A great place to wake up to, to listen to the morning birdsong. On one of our camps, I noticed that a Jabiru was patrolling the creek downstream from where we were set up. So, along with my trusty zoom and camera I was able to have a great 'Close Encounter', as I watched him fish. take a Peek
