It is actually Ryan Reynolds’ fifth time playing a comic book movie character. First, he played Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity. After that, he played Wade in X-Man Origins: Wolverine, Hal Jordan in Green Lantern, and Kick Walker in R.I.P.D. He has expressed that Deadpool would be the final comic book character he would ever play, but obviously, he has no problem with sequels or cameos as the character.
