"as I think about the things that made me successful in my career in terms of design is really enabling design as strategy you know so fighting the process and the good fight of pushing uphill in terms of making design a strategy and less about design as process or really being known as a team That makes logos and t-shirts because when you're known as that team then you're in a beauty contest at that point And it really becomes not necessarily not necessarily valuable in terms of the work that you're doing So really getting design as strategy and how it has affected the bottom line becoming a much different conversation in terms of how you get buy-in support and really speaking the language that leaders want to hear about and how design provides business value So the work has to connect back to some sort of KPI investment broader strategy and it can't be done in a vacuum"
