Tsim Sha Tsui was infused with great excitement on Janiuary 23, 2012, as the Cathay Pacific Chinese New Year Night Parade brought exuberant colours to the popular tourist district on the first evening of the Year of the Dragon.

The procession, which comprised 35 glowing floats and upbeat performing troupes from 12 countries and regions, greeted visitors and residents along the parade route, who were captivated by the mascots and performances on the mythical dragon. Carrying the theme "World City. World Party", this year's parade fully showcased Hong Kong's very own East-meets-West culture, cosmopolitan flavours and the vibrant spirit of the Hong Kong people.

Now on its 17th year, the signature event organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has become a "must-see" attraction among many visitors and local residents.
