Amateur Blacksmithing
First attempt at Fly Press Forging - Punching my first hammer eye in some 2 inch EN19.
The Fly Press is a war time Norton No.8
I soon realised I should have used H13 Steel for the punch instead of EN19 / 4140.
The lube I made up was Bee's Wax and Graphite - I simply melted some Bee's Wax in a pan in a pan of boiling water (bain marie) and then tried to get as much graphite as I could into the bee's wax.
