Open Hand Monument at Capitol Complex Chandigarh

Open Hand Monument was a dream project of architect Le Corbusier. It was among one of the five structures proposed at Capitol Complex Chandigarh. Though it couldn't be materialized while he was alive and the open hand structure built up in 1985 only. Open hand represents giving and taking by open hands, an etho of Indian culture since centuries.
The entry to open hand monument is free of cost. The guided tour is also free of cost but in three shifts at different timings. There is a registration counter at the entrance of tourist center where one can register for the said trip. Please be careful it is high security area as it houses Punjab and Haryana Assembly, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Punjab and Haryana Secretariat, Tower of Shadow, and Open Hand Monument, in combined called as Chandigarh Capitol complex.
