The Northrop F-20 Tigershark was indeed a remarkable development in aviation history. Despite its advanced capabilities, it faced challenges in securing large orders due to the presence of more established aircraft like the F-16. Its design, however, demonstrated significant improvements over its predecessor, the F-5E Tiger II, particularly in terms of speed, avionics, and versatility in both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. The F-20's affordability and ease of maintenance were major selling points, making it an attractive option for smaller air forces, although it ultimately did not enter mass production.
