... and NO, I did not just put the original track on and played some keys over it. ;) However I did try to stay as close as possible to the original.
The lead sound and the strings were played live - other instruments and the beat were produced and recreated note for note in cubase - from scratch! Except for some drum samples and effects, that I sampled from the original recording.

Volume of the strings in the left hand is controlled by a volume pedal. The right hand uses two keyzones with the same notes to make the fast melody easier to play.
The synthesizer in this clip is a Korg Radias, if you're wondering. Though, it actually doesn't matter, coz it's only used as a MIDI keyboard. There are no sounds used by the Radias for this one, though it acts nicely as a "Lichtorgel". ;)
