Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers' throw to first baseman Donovan Solano, however, hit Houston batter-runner Tucker in the arm as he arrived at first base, drawing a runner's lane interference call (dead ball and out, runners return) by HP Umpire Carlson.
Replays indicate Astros batter-runner Tucker failed to run within the runner's lane and, in doing so, interfered with the fielder taking the throw at first base (Solano), by virtue of the throw hitting Tucker. This is a fairly textbook example of runner's lane interference pursuant to Offiicial Baseball Rule 5.09(a)(11).
