Baby/Toddler Recipe | Simple Mong dal chilla for 7+ months Babies and toddlers (N for you😊)
Ingredients and Method:
*Wash rinse and soak 3 tbsp moong dal for 1-2 hours (I did overnight)
*Grind soaked dals with greenery (parsley Coriander, basil) and Water(make sure to add little by little and make a thick batter)
you can also add chillies and ginger ( your wish)
*Transfer to mixing bowl.
(Extraif you like to add veggies of your choicoff for it)
Mix well.
*Heat non stick pan and take one spoon of batter to make
*Drizzle ghee and add finely chopped onion and tomato on top
*flip it once done from one side
Press it with spatula
*Make sure that both the sides are cooked well.
(It usually takes 2 min at medium flame for each side)
*Serve with flavored yogurt or chutney of your choice.
IMPORTANCE:
Mong dal contains nutrients like iron, it helps in the baby's growth, and the huge calorie count gives him an immense amount of energy every day. Hence, once you add lentils to your baby's meal, you would see more increase in his energy level, and he would become more active during the day
