In this video we will discuss the concept of IKHFAA Shafawi.
As the letter meem has this intrinsic characteristic of ghunnah in it, so we have to pronounce this ghunnah in different manners in different situations.
As far as meem mutaharik is concerned there are no special rules regarding it's articulation. We simply have to read it as
مَ مِ or مُ
With fatha kasrah or DAMMAH.
But if it is a meem saakinah, then there are three rules pertaining to it and those rules are:
1. إخفاء الشفوي
2. الإدغام الصغير
3. الإظهار الشفوي
We will see all these rules one by, in this and the next few lessons.
