#Pokémon Sapphire was my life for a solid year or two as a child. To this day, I think it's crazy how much time I spent on that game. As I remember, I believe my Save File read 325 hours or so in that game? It was the first time I'd raised a Pokémon to level 100, my Swampert. #Hoenn is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to this series, since all media, including representation in other games, trading cards, anime and whatnot, had been very Kanto-centric. This absolutely felt like a brand new world, with plenty of concepts that have remained prevalent in the series to this day. It may have a few classic issues when it comes to difficulty scaling, as well as pacing towards the end-game, but the whole experience was a blast to play, even almost 20 years later.
