Our mate Jack from Full Noise 4x4 had been waiting for this day for a while, finally his new Black Series Rooftop Tent was getting fitted to the GU!

This rig was pretty stock when Jack picked it up and he got stick right into the modifications. A handy 2 inch suspension lift helped to accommodate the Nitto Tyres 33" Ridge Grapplers, and for protection Jack went for the Kaymar Oz Bar with spare wheel carrier and jerry can mount. For the dual battery setup there is a REDARC DC/DC charger that is currently looking after the two 100Ah AGM batteries (soon to be replaced with Lithium) that have been install neatly in the rear passenger area. There is also a custom made 70 litre water tank under a false floor behind the front seats.

In the rear there is a set of RV Storage Solutions aluminium drawers that only weigh 21Kg, and a Clearview drop down slide for the all important Engel fridge. Jack's aim with this build is to keep it simple and practical.

We install the Black Series Clamshell Rooftop tent using a set of Front Runner load bars which give the tent a great low profile. Not to miss out on the opportunity to enhance the build, Jack also got us to install a DARCHE Eclipse 270 Awning on the passenger side and an ensuite shower on the drivers side. An as if that wasn't enough, we also installed a 46" XRAY Vision lightbar on the front edge of the rooftop tent using our new Spotlight/Light Bar bracket.

This is one of the neatest and well set up GU Patrols that we have seen in a long time, and we are sure that Jack is going to keep putting it to good use!
