Karen Keenan serves as president of ConnectWC, a nonprofit organization active in developing an inclusive community for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Washington County. Keenan is an assistant manager with the Metropolitan Council. Keenan received her civil engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. She lives in Pine Springs, MN with her husband and 2-year-old daughter.
Karen's talk will focus on creating a community of belonging. "By creating a community of belonging, you're not only improving the lives of people living with long-term disabilities, but also later-in-life disabilities, possibly...YOU!"
