Haylion delivers a bounty to the Queen of the Reef. The Queen of the Reef is the ruler of the Reef, one of the few settlements outside of the City. She is simultaneously the ruler of the Awoken in the Reef and the Kell of the House of Wolves. Her aloof and enigmatic demeanor belie a ruthless nature, but she is not above helping others for a price. Living on the edge of civilized space, so close to the darkness, the Queen knows many secrets, including how to enter the Black Garden. She is also in contact with the Nine, the rulers of the Jovians, who allied with her in an unknown conflict.
