Michael Tomczyk, often referred to as the "Vic Czar," played a pivotal role in the success of both the Commodore VIC-20 and the Commodore 64. Joining Commodore in 1980, Tomczyk oversaw the development and launch of these iconic computers, helping to make them affordable and accessible to mass-market consumers. His innovative marketing strategies and keen vision were instrumental in establishing Commodore as a leader in the early home computer industry. Tomczyk's contributions are detailed in his 1984 book, "The Home Computer Wars: An Insider's True Account of Commodore and Jack Tramiel."
