John is now starting the routine mowing around the Chestnut Trees now that it is past mid-July and any fawns/turkey nests should be up & moving away from the tractor. This is an exciting time as the burrs start developing and the orchard really starts looking sharp as it gets mowed. John also shows you some of the burrs developing, provides a quick update on his English White Oak trees(Are they producing Acorns in their 7th year?!) and his Hazelnuts which are producing nuts this year(1st time!). Come along for a quick trip through the Lake Erie Chestnut Orchard!
