Going to Peru has been on our bucket list for a long time now -mainly to climb Machu Picchu, and I still can't believe we finally managed to go! This is our biggest trip ever so far! We booked this trip at the start of the year, and one by one booked hotels and side trips throughout the past months. We were reading lots of travel blogs and even had our Lonely Planet travel guide (as one should)!

I've been mostly nervous about the packing situation - as we were gonna be away for 2 weeks. You see, I've never packed light lol... so packing all my stuff in a backpack was quite a challenge. But surprise, surprise - I'm now such a big fan of traveling with a 60L rucksack! I found it a bit more convenient, tbh. I felt like I packed quite a lot of clothes, but the weight of my bag was still more than halfway less! It felt like a breath of fresh air to never think about whether my bag was over the weight limit or not.

Another thing I was nervous about was the altitude sickness, haha. We flew to Lima from London, and it was okay. But flying to Cusco... was another.

I'm excited to post more about our trip! Find out if I suffered with altitude sickness, or not. Lol
