The Bf109 or Me109 is one of the best plans to start with. Mistakes will be punished and good play rewarded. In war thunder, you are more of an underdog cause of the weird BRs and match ups. Best example for that would be Bf109K vs Spitfire MK22 or the Bf109F4 vs the Yak3.

It's still an enjoyable plane and a menace in simulator battle.
