Alliance partners, Cosatu and the SACP, say tackling capitalist control of the country's economy and protecting ANC policy formulation from private business, will be the biggest achievement of the governing party's National Policy Conference. The much-anticipated gathering starts at Nasrec, southern Johannesburg, on Thursday, and ends on Sunday. Both Cosatu and the SACP will each send at least 16 representatives to the four-day conference.
