Massive protests erupted in various cities of Bihar against the newly announced defence recruitment scheme Agnipath.. As Agnipath protests continue for day 3 in India, Bihar seems to be the most influenced state. After protests in places like Nawada, Arah, and Jahanabad, now the Agneepath fire has reached the Capital Patna as well. While the Patna Railway Junction is Vandalized, several coaches have been set on fire by the protesters at the Danapur Station. The protesters also caused small explosions in the station during the protest.
Amitabh Sharma, Rail Min India Spokesperson speaks to Times Network on the impact of anti-Agnipath protests.
He says, " I urge people to inquire before taking trains."
Govt has been claiming that this new recruitment scheme for military is for the betterment of the youth. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that recruitments were not done for the last two years, so Govt has decided to increase the age limit for Agniveers.
