Today we are going to be covering the 5 Free Tools You should be using as a freelancer to make your life easier and your freelance business run smoother.

Bill.com is a FREE invoicing tool that you can set up to send your clients' invoices. It is easy to use and it manages all invoices and outstanding invoices for you.

Let's talk taxes! I am someone who actually has an accountant and that would be my honest recommendation for you especially if you have several streams of income. But if you are interested in getting some free tools for small businesses taxes I do have a few that I share with you to look into.

FreeTaxUSA is free tax filing for small businesses in the USA. They do charge for federal filing but it is only $14.99. Overal the website looks legit and it could be a viable option for you to look into.

TurboTax is around $120 to file through but they do offer small business filings. They are a more well-known tax brand that would be a great option to look into when it comes time for tax season.

The last thing I want to mention about taxes is setting up a free savings account. Most banks in the US offer free business savings as long as you carry a certain balance. When you get paid from a client it is very important to remove all taxes from that money when it goes into your bank account. I prefer having separate savings account for taxes that I store all my estimated taxes that I get for all payments I receive so when taxes come, I already have the money to pay.

Minted.com is a free tool that you can integrate with your business checking, credit card, or loan information that will help you budget your finances. This tool is something I use for my personal finances and it works pretty well. There are obviously some features I wish they had but it is a free tool so I can't be too picky.
If you want the more expensive version go with QuickBooks for business. That however is not free and isn't something I would recommend if you are a one-person shop.
