I'm super frustrated with this never ending GM tranny problems on my BMW...
Actual state:
- overheating and smell after longer distance on speed, tranny oil temp 110C/230F (about 30km of driving 90kmh) Note: overheating the most when TCC behaving strange.
- TCC engaging and disengaging even on cruise control on flat straight road, as you can see on the video. Note: higher the speed, the more TCC works and holds; lower the speed more it engages/disengages.
- NO errors are thrown on dash nor in the ECU error log (read by INPA)
- when gets hot, even troubles with downshifting, which points to TCC (torque converter clutch) not engaging properly, when braking with engine (ie. downhill downshift).
- when cold, all those issues are less aggressive, when hot, the TCC dis/engagement can be felt without looking at the RPM
Back story:
I had to rebuild AT, that means replaced all seals, replaced all friction plates, replaced cooling lines, replaced oil cooler, replaced Torque Converter with remanufactured one, replaced electronic solenoid kit.
