After my Sportiva boots fell apart and their awful customer service (see other video) I decided to get some new Mammut boots. All their other stuff I own is fantastic so I have high hopes for these boots.
The boot feels light and a nice fit. I would say its a small fit and the size 11 is similar to a Scarpa Manta Pro 10.5. I am wearing thick winter socks as I would do on a day out and the fit is great. The overall boot compared to the old Nordwand TL boot is smaller and there less room in the toe box but the fit around the foot and ankle is ideal.
The addition of aluminium in their insulation should add some great warmth to the boot, I have one of their older Primaloft midlayers that also has aluminium added and its one of best jackets I own.
As soon as the snow arrives I will be using these for scotitsh winter climbing and only time will tell how robust these are, I hope that the 3 years research they did on these boots will pay off and that I get many seasons out of them before having to replace the soles etc.
