Grid Legends is coming out in February 2022 but thanks to Codemasters and the EA Creator Network I was able to play an early preview version of the game and get a first impression of it already. Here you can see a Ginetta Cup evening race in London, which is one of several brand new locations in the game.

The graphics and the physics of Grid Legends are similar to those of the Grid game from 2019. However, Grid Legends will have several new tracks, new cars and new features and also some that are returning from previous games in the franchise.

Grid Legends will have at least 3 locations that are brand new to the franchise with London, Moscow and Strada Alpina. London is a typical city track location, similar to previous Grid locations like Paris or Barcelona.

As you can see the nemesis system is returning from the previous game. Sometimes AI cars will also encounter random mechanical failures or have spectacular crashes to make the races more unpredictable.

Drift events are returning in Grid Legends after being absent in the previous game and there are also said to be custom multiplayer lobbies this time. And of course there will be the new story mode with live action characters that you may have seen in the initial announcement of the game.

Keep in mind that this video shows an early preview version of the game months before release, so not all details are finalized yet and the video is just there to give people a first impression of the gameplay in Grid Legends. The race was recorded at 1080 60 on the High graphics preset.
