A killer to be foiled---a fortune to be saved...excitement rules the range! The sixth episode of the "Three Mesquiteers" film series from Republic Pictures (several of which starred the inimitable John Wayne) sets its scene in the Wild West at the height of America's Great Depression, after several natural disasters--including catastrophic floods--have destroyed thousands of floods. Taking advantage of those displaced by these disasters, malicious opportunist Phineas Flagg buys up a soon-to-be-condemned tract of land in Arizona's Gunsmoke and sells it to these unfortunate souls at a low price they're more than happy to pay. While most of the itinerants fall for Flagg's trickery, the Three Mesquiteers call his bluff and attempt to reveal him for the avaricious cad he is--but is it too late to change the minds of their peers and save the day?
