They are still genuine oil paints with top-quality pigments - the difference is they are formulated with a base of drying oil. Unlike traditional oil paint, this drying oil base will have been modified so that it can be mixed with water. They are excellent for artists who share a workspace or are sensitive to solvent fumes.
