I.C. R.R. GP-11 No. 8733 couples up to Southern Railway Consolidation No. 401 at the Monticello Railway Museum shops in Monticello IL. The engine will move the steam locomotive forward to position the drivers and rods where they need to be to check for adjustment of the moving parts. Kent McClure brings the diesel back and confers with Dave Marshall about the precise spot to stop. The steamer will likely return to service in September.
