Sewing with corduroy doesn't have to be difficult! In this video, I am sharing my secrets to sewing with napped fabrics, such as corduroy or velvet, that will take your sewing to the next level!

Corduroy can be tricky to sew because it has a nap. The pile of the corduroy fibres don't stand up straight instead they have a slight direction to them. You should cut all your pattern pieces in a consistent nap direction along the grainline to line up the ribs.

It is important to not crush the pile during the pressing and sewing process - if you follow the tips & tricks in this video you will avoid damaging the fabric.
