In this event we heard from a range of Tanzanian women on the impact for Tanzania of her first year in office, and what it means for women. This was followed by a panel discussion.
Speakers included the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Liberata Mulamula; the Hon Zakia Meghji MP, who was the first female Minister of Finance, Dr. Frannie Léautier, CEO of SouthBridge Investments, author Aikande Kwayu, Professor Ruth Meena, a gender and development expert, and blogger Elsie Eyakuze.
The discussion was chaired by the editor of Tanzanian Affairs, Ben Taylor.
