DIY synthetic Ruby.

A little bit of geology.
A little bit of chemistry.
A little bit of time.
Some understanding of what a Ruby is made of.... aluminum oxide
and chromium oxide in the right ratio. Apply enough heat and the powders will produce a liquid slurry that in no way looks anything like Ruby's..... but once it cools the color changes .... with minute crystals slowly forming and you got yourself a real Ruby. and like natural rubies it fluoresces under UV light.
