The countries of the west used aircraft flying all supplies into the City of Berlin in an effort to defeat the Berlin Blockade imposed by Russia. Images of air planes flying into Berlin night and day and in fog and rain. Crashed aircraft on fire. Several views of C-54 Skytrain aircraft. Trucks, trains, and barges bring supplies to Berlin after the blockade was lifted in May 1949.
