How To Fix Windows Defender Greyed Out in Windows 11/10 [Solution]

3. Then find and double-click Windows Management Instrumentation. Ensure the Startup type is set to Automatic and the service is running.

Run SFC and DISM:
1. Press Win + R keys to open the Run box. Then type cmd in the box and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter keys to run it as administrator.
2. Then type sfc /scannow in the window and press Enter key to execute the command.
3. After the process ends up, type the following commands to run the DISM utility. Remember to press Enter key after each command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
