Elevated serum levels are associated with acute pancreatitis, acute abdominal disorders, biliary tract diseases, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe glomerular dysfunction, ruptured ectopic pregnancy and macroamylasaemia. Amylase activity in estimated in serum / plasma using GalG2-α CNP kinetic method.
