The year was 2005 and the Eurobasket championship, the biggest European competition for National Teams, which takes place every 4 years, was being held in Serbia.


A Serbian host team which was coming in with high expectations failed to not only win the Gold but even make it past the top 16 of the tournament crashing out to France and a young Tony Parker.


What followed after their elimination was an Obradović classic in the post game press conference. The man was so into it that the translator even had to stop trying to translate everything that the man was saying in a rant that lasted over 30 minutes (edited down in this video for your convenience).


In the press conference Zeljko talked about the levels of dysfunction that he had to deal with starting all the way from the recruiting stage describing a ride which was inevitably destined to crash.


In my years of watching basketball , maybe even pro sports in general , i haven't seen a press conference similar to this. The man purred his heart and soul into this and it showed.
