Today unfortunately marks the end of Greater Anglia Class 321350 and 321351 as Rail Operations Group Class 37884 is again back on the Class 321 scrap duty! Working on 593O Clacton C.S.D. - Newport Docks (simsgroup) presents a friendly driver giving me some tones.
The British Rail Class 321 are AC Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) that were built in 1988. Nicknamed the “Dusty bins” among enthusiasts, these were designed to replace slam door AC EMUs in the Anglian region. Some Class 321s in the Greater Anglia fleet had many adventures such as working in Northern, Scotrail and First Capital Connect.
Unfortunately Class 321s do not meet the PRM compliance which results them being disposed however some are kept for Hydrogen conversion which will be known as British Rail Class 600 nicknamed “Breeze”.
Alas, we bid these Anglian Dusty Bins a grand farewell.
